Privacy policy

KanjiHybrid is made by Bridge360 Inc. This policy explains what the app stores, who it is shared with, and how to get it deleted. It covers the KanjiHybrid mobile app and this website.
What the app collects

What the app does not collect
No location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar or health data. The app requests none of those permissions. There is no advertising, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracking for advertising. We do not sell personal information.
Who your data is shared with
- Supabase hosts the database and handles sign-in. Your email address, display name, messages and kanji history are stored there.
- An AI provider generates chat replies. To answer you, the text of your message and up to the previous 24 hours of that conversation are sent to the provider. The app currently uses Anthropic's Claude Haiku; the provider may change, and this page will be updated when it does.
- PostHog receives the three product events above when analytics is enabled. Events are tied to an internal account identifier, never to your email.
Beyond those, data is disclosed only where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Your account and everything attached to it is kept until you delete it. You can do that yourself in the app, under Profile, in the Danger zone: it removes your profile, every message, and your whole kanji history together, immediately. If you have already removed the app, use Delete your data instead.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what is stored about you.
- Correct your display name in the app at any time.
- Delete your account and all its data yourself, in the app, at any time.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. Write to us and we will honour them.
Children
KanjiHybrid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above will change and the new version will appear here before the change takes effect.
