Delete your data

Applies to the KanjiHybrid app, com.bridge360.kanjihybrid

If you still have the app, the fastest way is to delete your account yourself: open KanjiHybrid, go to Profile, scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account. That erases everything straight away, with no waiting and nobody else involved.

Use the form below if you have already removed the app, or cannot sign in. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason.

Deletion is permanent

There is no undo once it is done. If you want a copy of your kanji history first, say so in the box below and we will send it before deleting anything.

Use the address you sign in with. We reply there to confirm, which is how we check the request is really yours.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and the email address attached to it.
  • Your profile, including your display name.
  • Every chat message you have sent and every reply you have received.
  • Your entire kanji and compound history, including counts and dates.
  • Your analytics identifier. Deleting in the app detaches your device from it straight away, so nothing you do afterwards is joined to the old one. The usage events already recorded against it are removed by hand, so ask through this form or by email if you want that done too.

What is kept, and for how long

Nothing that identifies you as a user of the app. Deleting in the app leaves no record behind at all, because there is no request for anyone to action. If you use this form or email instead, we keep a record of the request itself, including the email address it came from, because we have to be able to show it was made and honoured. Server logs holding technical records such as timestamps and error traces roll off on their normal schedule and are not linked back to a deleted account.

How long it takes

In the app it is immediate: confirming in the Danger zone erases your account and everything in it there and then. Through this form, we confirm by email within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of the request.

Deleting the app

Removing KanjiHybrid from your phone does not delete your account. The data lives on the server, so either delete your account in the app before uninstalling, or use this form afterwards.
